'In this day and age where artists and bands are taking the 60’s and 70’s as inspirational grounds a particular release sometimes stands out. Anima Morte is an instrumental band who digs in the soundtrack and big conceptual albums of that time and tries to recreate the sound and feeling of acts like King Crimson, ELP and Rick Wakeman. This album features the horror movie theme and they manage to perform this very nicely. They state the composers as Ennio Morricone and Fabio Frizzi as big influences and that shows. This refreshing three-piece creates an instrumentally focused carnival of raw, unique, diverse & dirty rock. From sludge to stoner, alternative, experimental, orchestral & post-metal.
