MotoGP fans to get a chance for a pit lane walk
PETALING JAYA: It will be a dream come true for some 5,000 lucky students and Grandstand ticket holders who will experience the opportunity of a lifetime – a pit lane walk – at the Shell Advance Malaysian MotoGP at the Sepang International Circuit.
The penultimate round of the championships that will swing by Malaysia from 21-23 Oct will once again see the organisers holding the pit walk on Friday (21 Oct) to bring the public closer to the exciting world of motorsports.
"Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is inviting all students from public, technical, international, private institutions of higher learning within Klang Valley, Nilai, Seremban and the vicinity of SIC to join in the public pit walk for free," SIC said in a statement.
Students and selected grandstand ticket holders will be exposed to the technological side of MotoGP while being given a thorough explanation about the workings of the bike by riders and technical staff in the pits as they prepare the machines for the race.
The SIC only have limited places for students and teachers and registration for the event is based on first come first served basis.
